At aprox 23.30 on Friday 21st March a terrified couple heard noices downstairs in their Branton home. On investigation the couple found 3 masked men carrying handguns.
The middle aged couple was forced to the ground at gunpoint whilst the rest of the house was searched. Fortunately the couple were not seriously hurt.
The gunmen left the victims on the floor after stealing money and various other personal items. It is believed the gunmen left in a vehicle which was parked up close by.
South Yorkshire Police would welcome any information relating to this incident.
