Close Protection Operative Level 3
1st Security Solutions Training Division now offers a HABC Close Protection Operative Level 3 course, suitable for any candidate seeking employment within the Close Protection industry.
As of March 2006, legislation demands that any person working within Close Protection Operations must hold a license, which can be obtained by passing an SIA approved and relevant course. The SIA (Security Industry Authority) is the security industry authority and sets the standard for office Close Protection training in the UK.
The HABC Close Protection Operative Level 3 covers the 2015 specification as set by the SIA and address key areas and topics within the Close Protection industry. The course involves a combination of classroom and practical exercises and runs over 14 days, during which time the candidate must complete no fewer than 150 hours. The candidate must complete and pass every section of the course to be valid for an SIA license.
The course requires no prior experience within the Close Protection industry and is open to civilians. All students who pass the course will be eligible for employment within the industry regardless of background or prior experience.
