Join 1st Security Solutions at the 148th Heckington Show

For the 7th year in a row 1st Security Solutions Ltd is preparing to supply the security stewarding for the Heckington Show, the biggest agricultural show and festival in England. This village show has a long and proud history of bringing communities in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire together, and this year’s incarnation promises to be no different!

So if you’re not too busy this weekend (Saturday 25th – Sunday 26th July) get yourself and your family down to Heckington and get involved in this year’s event. The show starts from 9am on the Saturday and ends at 5:30 on Sunday evening, and promises everything you might expect from a village show and more.

Fun-filled Event for all the Family

Combining agriculture, horticulture and craft activities, the Heckington Show attracts some 30’000 people annually, which usually means that our events management and stewarding team are in for a busy weekend! Even so, in the years that we have been involved with the event we’ve come to enjoy the calm, easy going and intimate atmosphere that the show enjoys, despite being spread over some 80 acres of land.

Guests can see a variety of trade stands, competitions and displays over the two days, as well as athletic events including cycle races and show jumping. There’s even a heritage area shows you craft skills of past generation. If you’re feeling hungry at any time during your visit you can head into the food court and sample a selection of hot and cold food, from pork grown 5 miles from the showground to exotic products from abroad.

The showpiece event is the Grand Firework Display which takes place on the Saturday at 7pm – this is followed by a live open air concert featuring a variety of bands including the one and only UK Beach Boys.

Stewarding Services Provided

This really is not one to be missed and we fully anticipate a weekend of good weather and pleasant company. Free parking is available, and the event can be accessed easily from the A17.
